i’ve talked many many times about my long-running songwriting group, “the game”, which matt runs. i find it endlessly fascinating to hear what my fellow comrades and i do with the prompt. as you can hear, we go in wildly different directions from the same starting point.
in a few weeks, matt, natalia, kris and i, along with our fellow game pal stephen claire, will be doing a run of shows where we trade songs from “the game”, looking for the same prompt or other resonances. the tour, which we’re billing as “family game night”, starts july 9 and more info will be in the news break plus always at erinmckeown.com/shows.

hey yall! it’s here, my busy month of july touring!
as you’ve been hearing about, “family game night” arrives in boston july 9, exeter NH july 10, beacon NY july 11, and windsor MA july 13, which is also a hiking concert. not to be missed! the july 9 show will also be livestreamed, the link for that will be on the club passim website the week before.
on july 12, i’ll be presenting a special program and hiking concert at steepletop, which is the home of poet edna st. vincent millay. we’ll take a walk around the grounds, then i’ll perform an intimate show, followed by tour of vincent’s home. there will be all kinds of other wonderful, family activities happening as well, part of steepletop’s open days program.
and finally, july 19, i’ll be stepping in for my comrade jill sobule and performing at rehoboth beach DE’s pride celebrations, along with comedian karen williams and a showing of the classic film “radical harmonies”.
