this week’s audio is…. silence.
the kind of silence that comes from a small town set between a bunch of big lakes at the end of the road.
shhh.
listen.
…
it’s nice, right? ironically, i am spending a few days in ely, minnesota because my life is crazy busy right now. the opposite of peace and stillness, which makes the beauty of the boundary waters that much more compelling. i’m here helping a friend on a project that i will share with you… at least a year from now. the request was last minute, the friend dear. so here i am, in between workshops of OUT HERE in chicago and a rad gig in provincetown massachusetts memorial day weekend and then back to chicago to finish up my fellowship at the University of Chicago.
as i mentioned in the last episode, audio will return sometime this summer. but in the meantime, i wanted to share a few pics of gorgeous ely, make a small announcement, and send on some links that i have accumulated that might be passe by the next time i make an episode.
so here’s the announcement: i am reopening #cabincollege, my private teaching studio. have you always wanted to write songs, but needed some guidance to kick things off? do you start songs and never finish them? are you a more advanced writer who has an album project in mind? #cabincollege is like having a song doula or an executive coach who specializes in music or a knowledgable sounding board and safe space to share your creative endeavors. i can help you learn to use Logic, Garageband, or ProTools. there’s a lot we can do together.
here, here and here are some projects that i guided to completion via #cabincollege. but i’m always open to new ways to use my skills to help you. just reach out! i can only take on a few students, so first come, first served. erin@erinmckeown.com or click the banner below.
as promised, here are some beautiful shots of ely MN. ¡ME GUSTA! is below.
meantime, enjoy the…. silence.
