Speaking as a performer who’s been playing the grassroots circuit in the USA, UK and Europe for more decades than I care to admit: This is all so, so true. I was actually reduced at one venue to standing in an unlit, windowless broom cupboard surrounded by mops and buckets so that I could do my vocal warmups. And I LOVE what you did with your sharpie. At this point I am better at doing my makeup in my car (I have a SYSTEM) than in my own house bathroom. 😂
